In this little project we designed a custom entertainment center for this space. We removed one window, installed a new gas fireplace and built and installed a beautiful entertainment center. We also installed a 2" conduit for cables between the lower shelves and the TV area. We added an infrared repeater to the face of the cabinet so all the devices could still be controlled by remote, even though they are behind the cabinet doors. All of these features allow this custom entertainment center to adjust to changing technology without any major changes to the unit.
